Alchemy (poem)
You name me the most beautiful hurricane,
a celestial storm swirling from stardust and prophecy.
Yet you do not flinch. You do not fear.
You simply watch - an angelic presence born of realms beyond sight.
You make the Earth underneath me tremble.
A piece of land so soft, that rises to the skies.
My heart is pounding with joy and tears,
My soul is flying - inside and outside my body.
My body… my lips burn like embers waiting for breath.
I’ve been turning from the fruits that call my name,
keeping myself gentle, whole, renewed.
No angel am I -
but a blessing follows my steps.
I love to race against time,
but never when it comes to you.
I can make your heart open,
move you, change you.
I can be your inspiration,
your poison, your remedy.
I can lift you into light
or press you to your knees.
For better or for worse,
I can transform you.
An absence that satisfies,
a quiet pursuit of grace.
Pain blooming into a strange, bright joy -
the blessed emptiness within.
Let your prayer travel the curve of my spine.
This ghost within me rises once again, alive.
Through my body, the light pours through.
I was made for something divine.
A child of warmth, of shifting seasons.
Moonlit rays born from a sun that burns inside me.
Yes, I am burning,
your beautiful hurricane.
